Privacy Policy

Edvisor Academy Pty Ltd is dedicated to shielding the confidentiality of your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (“Your Information”). Edvisor Academy will only seek to collect your information by lawful and reasonable means.  Every effort will be taken to ensure your information remains private and is used only for the purposes you agree to.

The information collected via your enquiry and admission form ensures your level of skills and education are suitable to undertake the Course, your identity for Course admission and certificate issue.  To provide you with the education and services, we do require that all fields are completed on the admission form and those details are kept up-to-date.

In order to provide you with education and associated training services, we may need to disclose your information to third party relevant Course delivery partners throughout your training Course. We may share your personal details with our key agent partners to maximise your “Earn While You Learn” opportunities, and to assist you with obtaining up-to-date information on institutions and services.

Before giving access to your personal information e.g. confirmation of details relating to a change of address, reissue of a certificate, Edvisor Academy will require proof of identification. Students are requested to keep all personal details up‐to‐date. Details can be updated via your secure Learning Management System login.

There may be limited circumstances that require release of student information without seeking consent. – In the event of a serious threat to an individual’s life, health or safety, or to assist in the investigation of an unlawful activity, or as stated in the Privacy Act 1988.

As a training organisation, we may be required to release information pertaining to student enrolments to the commonwealth and state based agencies as required by legislation.

During your course, and for your own security, it is important that you protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you finish using your computer, or a shared computer.

Refund Policy

Edvisor Academy recognises that there are circumstances when a student may be entitled to a refund of course fees paid. The Refund Policy outlines the eligibility for such situations.

The student must recognise that when he/she pays the course fees, a binding contract has then been created between both the student and the education provider – Edvisor Academy.

A refund may be processed whereby the request has satisfied the relevant refund requirements.  Details of the relevant refund requirements are as follows:

To be considered for a refund, all requests must be made in writing and addressed to the General Manager | Operations, Edvisor Academy via the Refund Request Form.

A student, who has for any reason been expelled from an Edvisor Academy course, or had their Visa cancelled by The Department of Home Affairs whilst they are an enrolled with Edvisor Academy, will NOT be entitled to a refund of fees.

Edvisor Academy does not provide refunds if you change your mind.

In the event that Edvisor Academy is not able to deliver a Course, a full refund of all Course fees paid to date will be refunded.  If a portion of the Course is not delivered, the student will be offered a partial refund of Course fees relating to the undelivered units. You are required to complete a Refund Request Form to formalise this arrangement together with proof of Identification, and Student Bank Details.

Edvisor Academy may in its absolute discretion, refund some or all course fees where it determines that there are extenuating or compassionate circumstances beyond a student’s control.

 

All approved refunds will be paid within 28 working days.

Important:

  • Course commencement is the date upon which we receive your course fees in full, or your deposit (for payment plans).
  • Upon approval, refund payments will only be made to the student who has registered to study the course.

Complaints and Appeals Policy

Edvisor Academy (EA) treats all student and membership complaints and appeals as a priority. A resolution dispute process will occur in a timely manner provided that EA is informed of the complaint or appeal. To assist EA in helping to resolve a complaint or appeal, we request that the following procedure be followed.

Complaint or Appeal Procedure

STEP 1:

Talk to an EA staff member in person, via phone 1300 010 005 or email at admin@edvisoracdemy.com.au.

If dissatisfied with outcome:

STEP 2:
Write down your problem and submit your formal complaint to the General Manager at Edvisor Academy via email admin@edvisoracademy.com.au.

If dissatisfied with outcome:

STEP 3:
Lodge complaint or appeal to the EA Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

You have the right to be accompanied by a support person of your choice at any stage. Your student enrolment or membership will be maintained while the complaints or appeals process is ongoing.

1. Complainants may raise an informal complaint by speaking with any EA staff member.

2. Should the issue not be resolved then write a letter explaining your complaint including any supporting evidence, in the form of a letter or an email, clearly marked “to the attention of” General Manager Operations. Your complaint is now considered a formal complaint. The process will commence within 10 working days of the receipt of the formal complaint and all reasonable measures will be taken to finalise the process as soon as practicable.

3. If a complainant is dissatisfied with the outcome of their formal complaint, they may lodge an internal appeal with the Edvisor Academy CEO within 20 working days of receiving notification. The Edvisor Academy CEO will appoint an appropriate person or committee (who is independent from the complaint or appeal) to consult with the complainant and other relevant parties within 10 working days.
